Merchandiser – Agrovet Sector

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Merchandiser to support our client in the agrovet sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing product presentation, analyzing customer trends, and supporting sales strategies across retail outlets. Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor sales trends and identify losses or stock wastage
  • Negotiate prices and manage orders with suppliers and distributors
  • Collaborate with executives, marketing, and sales teams to set competitive pricing strategies
  • Analyze customer motivations and drive sales through effective merchandising
  • Use customer feedback to predict seasonal demand and adjust stock levels
  • Guide staff on product display and stock rotation to optimize shelf space
  • Monitor industry trends and consumer behavior to anticipate changes in buying patterns
  • Forecast sales based on historical data and market trends
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of store layouts and product placements

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Certificate or Diploma in Sales and Marketing
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in merchandising, preferably in the agrovet or related sector
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Proficient in basic computer applications (sales tracking, reporting tools)
  • Understanding of agrovet products and the customer base is a strong advantage
