We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Sales Staff member to join our team. Engage directly with customers in-store, providing product information and ensuring a seamless shopping experience.
Scope and General Purpose of Job
Your primary responsibility as a Sales Staff is to provide exceptional customer service and maximize sales by assisting customers in finding and purchasing products or services. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, restocking merchandise, and ensuring the overall satisfaction of customers.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, and assist them in finding the products or services they need.
- Provide product information, answer customer questions, and offer recommendations to enhance the customer’s shopping experience.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns efficiently and escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate supervisor or manager.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, using the point-of-sale (POS) system and other applicable tools.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, discounts, and sales events to effectively communicate and upsell to customers.
- Ensure the store shelves, displays, and product areas are neat, clean, and well-stocked at all times.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to the appropriate team members.
- Assist with receiving and unpacking merchandise shipments, verifying accuracy, and ensuring proper storage.
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on product knowledge and sales techniques.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve individual and store sales targets.
- Any other tasks assigned by Branch Managers and Management from time to time.
Requirements
- Previous retail or sales experience is required, at least 2-3 years. In retail is a must.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-oriented with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and shifts as required.
- Basic knowledge of POS systems is a plus.
- Professional skills in sales e.g.-upselling and cross selling.
- Exposure to merchandising and display management: inventory control & stock replenishment.

Qualifications
